Precautions for use and scrapping instructions of lifting hook

1. The hook can be put into use only after it has the certificate of conformity and other technical supporting documents of the manufacturer.

2. Cast hooks shall not be used for lifting machinery.

3. The hook shall be provided with a safety device to prevent accidental decoupling of the lifted object.

4. The surface of the hook shall be smooth without peeling, burr, crack, etc.

5. The hook shall be able to reliably support 2 times of the inspection load without falling off.

6. The hook shall be scrapped in case of any of the following conditions.

a. Crack

b. 10% of the original size of the worn dangerous section

c. The opening is 15% more than the original size

d. Torsional deformation exceeds 10%

e. Plastic deformation of dangerous section or hook neck.

f. The bushing of the plate hook shall be scrapped when the wear of the bushing reaches 50% of the original size.

g. Defects on the hook shall not be repaired by welding.
